Monolith is a cloud based music storage and playback application designed for desktop (and soon for mobile, too). It is being built by a team of two people who were dissappointed in the current state of personal media management solutions.

When looking for a reliable service to store our growing music collections we quickly realized there weren't that many options. It seemed that there were only two routes to go: cloud storage with a dated web player interface, or buying a server and building our own media server.

Monolith started as a solution to this problem - a real desktop player with a server in the cloud. As we built it up and kept adding features, we decided it had gotten to the point where we could offer it to others.

Monolith is designed to be a modern option for cloud music storage. It's for anyone building a collection or looking for a place to put an existing one. It's for anyone who doesn't want to spend the time or money setting up a personal media server in their house just to listen to it on all their devices.

Right now we are just a two person team. We're currently trying to get as much feedback from our customers as we can so we can prioritize our development efforts. Our goal is to continue building and improving Monolith until it is the best music cloud storage option available.
