About Monolith

We built Monolith because we wanted a place for our music that was simple to setup. We didn't want to buy a NAS or stand up a server. We just wanted something that worked.

The options that had the features we wanted seemed clunky and dated, or required a significant upfront investment in time and money. We thought owning your music shouldn't require setting up servers, and it shouldn't feel like using software from fifteen years ago.

We're a two-person operation, and we're still early. We built Monolith because we wanted it to exist, and we're growing it carefully instead of chasing every feature at once. The desktop apps are available today, mobile is coming.

A proper way to get support and share feedback is on the way. We genuinely want to hear from you and find out what's working, what's missing, and what we should build next. Our goal is to build the best personal music collection experience possible.
