Monolith reads your files and shows you what you have
Monolith pulls the tags and artwork already in your files and organizes everything by artist and album. Fix anything that's off, add what's missing, then hit accept.

Hello!
If you are reading this you most likely clicked on an ad from our latest Reddit campaign! Since we are marketing in music collection focused Reddit communities we wanted to put a little disclosure here about Monolith's metadata capabilities.
Monolith is in an early stage. Our team consists of just two people, and only one of us is a developer. There is still a lot of work to do in terms of metadata support.
If you are an avid music collector already and have files that you've added extra metadata to (think personal ratings, DJ software cue points, notes, classical music info, etc.), and that's important to you, Monolith will most likely not fit your needs right now, as it will strip most of this away and only keep the "basic" info like title, artists, album, cover art, and other things of this nature needed to organize your library.
At some point in the future we hope to expand our tagging capabilities. We know all that tagging is a lot of effort on your part and we would hate to dissapoint you, but we're simply not there yet.
If this doesn't apply to you and you just want a solution that let's you build a music library and play it, and you're happy with the features you've seen above, then we would like to welcome you to Monolith! We hope you enjoy using it and would love to hear what you have to say.
